During this trip we will see such highlights as:

Medieval Fortified village of Shatili;
Village Mutso - former stronghold of Khevsureti
Overnight at a local guesthouse equipped with bathrooms and toilets and located in one of the fortress towers.
Recommended: Hiking Shoes; small back pack, warm clothes, raincoat.
Early morning departure towards Khevsureti province, via Datvijvari Pass at 2676 m. On the way stop at Zhinvali water reservoir, one of the largest reservoirs in Georgia and enjoy the beautiful panorama. Continue towards Shatili via historical villages Barisakho, Gudani, Kakhmati, abandoned in winter and only partially occupied during the short summer season. Picnic lunch en-route. Afternoon arrival in Shatili. Dinner and overnight at the local guesthous.
After breakfast explore Shatili fortified complex, walk through the narrow streets of ancient towers and dwellings. Drive towards abandoned village of Musto – olden Stronghold and a complex of towers located atop of a rocky hill and protecting the northern borders of the province. Picnic lunch en-route. Optional hike up to Mutso. Drive Back to Tbilisi.
