08:45 - 09:00 Departure from Tbilisi
10:00 - 10:45 Visiting Ananuri Castle complex (XVI-XVIII cc.) you will enjoy beautiful panorama of Zhinvali reservoir from here. Ananuri was a fortress for Aragvi Dukes for centuries and later became the residence. With other interesting historical monuments here is preserved late medieval Georgian architecture church- the Church of Theotokos (1689 y.)
11:45 - 12:00 15 minute stop for panoramic view before Jvari (cross) pass
12:00 - 13:00 We arrive to Stepantsminda (formerly ) through Jvari (cross) pass (2379 m.)
13:00 - 16:00 Going up to Gergeti Trinity. Gergeti Trinity Church (XVI c.) is the most important cultural and religious center of the ravine. Here was kept St. Nino's cross. Church has spectacular view of glacier, Stepantsminda and Kuro range.
16:00 - 17:00 Dinner. Picnic in nature is an option.
17:00 - 18:00 Sno Fortress
18:00 - 20:30 Return to Tbilisi.
