15 March 2021

On Monday, March 15, vaccination of the population against coronavirus began in Georgia. Lana Ubilava, an allergist at a clinic in Zugdidi, received the first AstraZeneca vaccine. She was vaccinated live.

Two days ago, the first batch of the coronavirus vaccine arrived in Georgia - 43.2 thousand doses of AstraZeneca, which is produced under license in South Korea. Vaccines were provided through the international platform COVAX.
